Use a slow breathing pattern. Breathe in for 4, hold for 4, and breathe out for 6 to help your body settle.

Clinical Goal

Targets the parasympathetic nervous system through precise respiratory ratios (4-7-8). This forces a vagal down-regulation protocol, significantly reducing cortisol spikes and bypassing the amygdala hijack during acute anxiety.
